ISO 9001 at the Gdynia Maritime Academy
The Gdynia Maritime University developed and implemented the Quality Management System with the purpose to better satisfy the needs and expectations of its present and prospective clients and also to improve the management of the University by continuous upgrading the System.
Establishment and implementation of the Quality Management System is also evidence of satisfying statutory requirements, legal rules and regulations.
The modern School is an organisation furthering the standards of its operation through a systematic and organised measurement of its quality, analysis and appraisal of the degree of observing requirements in regard to the adopted aims directed to the student development and also pedagogic, professional and scientific development of the University scholars as well as efficient management of the University resources.
The University's Management undertake an obligation and active involvement in the development and upgrading the Quality Management System which has been reflected in the adopted Quality Policy.
The Quality Management System is in compliance with the ISO 9001: 2000 Standard requirements and covers the whole activities of the Gdynia Maritime University within the following scope:
TEACHING AT ACADEMIC LEVEL, CONDUCT OF SCIENTIFIC AND RESEARCH WORK ORIENTED TO THE MARITIME ECONOMY INDUSTRIES
IN COMPLIANCE WITH POLISH AND INTERNATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Confirmation of compliance of the Quality Management System with the requirements of the ISO 9001: 2000 Standard is a Certificate issued by the Certification Bureau of the Polish Register of Shipping. |
